About Us

When five sisters can agree on one thing you know you have to go for it! After searching for the perfect chocolate cake for our Christmas dinner, sister #2, Cassie, made The Perfect Chocolate Cake. After asking Cassie to bring baked goods to every family function the idea hit the sisters; Cassie should open a bakery. (She even did her college essay on making cream brulee with her sisters)!

And after many hours in her dad's accounting office going over budgets and business plans he finally agreed to go with her plan, after all he was in his third year of overseeing daughter #1's clothing business (Five Seas on Balboa Island), what's one more! At any time you can find one of the Five Sisters (Callie, Cassie, Carrie, Chloe, and Carley) putting in their five cents on how Cassie should do things. And if you are really lucky you might run into the cute dad of the Girl's empire taste testing baked goods and making sure the quality is up to par.

Cassie is a graduate of Newport Harbor High School and met her husband at the University of San Diego. The Kuhen Clan is a tight knit group that all live in eastside Costa Mesa and on any given night can be found at mom's house reading fashion magazines and trying new recipes, while dad enjoys time with the son-in-laws.
